Research & Digitalisation Projects
Developing optical character recognition technologies for historic documents is a complicated and ongoing process, where different core technologies have to be used and optimised.
Below is a list of important research and digitalisation projects.
IMPACT & ABBYY
The METAe project was a research and development project from 2000 to 2003.
It was co-funded by the European Commission (5th Framework, IST Programme, Area “Digital Heritage and Cultural Content”).
